Bhopal: A total of 8,00,290 farmers have sold their wheat at procurement centres established in all the districts of Madhya Pradesh.
A total of 69.04 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been procured so far and 90 percent of it has been stored safely by the state government, an official release said here on Friday.
The cost of wheat procured by the State Government so far is Rs. 9,572 crore, it said. Procurement of wheat will continue for one more week, the release said adding farmers are selling 2-2.25 lakh metric tonnes of wheat daily.
