Melbourne, Jan 26(Agencies): Tennis icon Roger Federer was the biggest name to crash out of Australian Open at Melbourne, losing 7-6, 7-5, 6-4 to Novan Djokovic in a match that ended his dream.

Federer was battling fitness issues as he was even forced to take a break in the middle of the match. Ferrer did not miss the opportunity and romped to a straight set victory over the World No.1 player in the quarterfinals.

The victory has set a semifinal showdown between Ferrer and Britain’s Andy Murray.
