Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy said that such statements seem jokes to him as they don’t hold any significance.

JD (U) Ali Anwar demanded quick action from the BJP-led NDA government.

Anwar stated that Pakistan has always been saying such statements and the Central government should take quick action.
Meanwhile, CPI leaders D Raja said that such statements are sad.

"What Pakistan says about Kashmir, it is known to everybody. It is the position of Pakistan.

It doesn't mean India should agree with Pakistan. That is why, there is need to carry forward the composite dialogue process that has begun. Whatever may be the political changes in both countries, both countries must engage themselves in a meaningful dialogue. Dialogue is the only alternative," Raja said.

NCP leader Nawab Malik said that Kashmir is an integral part of India and no statement from Pakistan can change that fact.
