Amritsar: The popularity of anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare has just not reached every nook and corner of the country but has also crossed the international boundaries and reached neighbouring Pakistan.

This is the reason why people from Pakistan wish to have an ‘Anna Hazare’ who can fight against corruption. The Pakistani delegates who arrived near Amritsar on Wednesday to attend the 8th Joint Convention of India-Pakistan People’s Forum for Peace and Democracy scheduled to be held at Allahabad from December 29 to 31, expressed desire to have an Anna-like figure in Pakistan who can fight corruption.

Talking to mediapersons, Chaudhary Rafat Ali from Pakistan said, “When Anna Hazare blew the bugle against corruption in India, people in Pakistan too followed the news on TV. Even the print media in Pakistan extensively covered the Anna Hazare campaign against corruption.”

He said, “The constant terror attacks in Pakistan have brought the city under the cover of fear. Despite constant efforts, nothing concrete is being done.”

Talking about the plights of Hindus in Pakistan, he said that atrocities are being committed against Hindus here.

Chaudhary also advocated for fastening the visa process while emphasizing upon the fact that in coming days the trade relations between the two nations would even get better.
