Kathmandu: A Pakistani national has been arrested at the airport here in connection with a fake currency racket.

Nepal Police have arrested Muhammad Iqbal from Tribhuvan International Airport on Tuesday while he was carrying fake US dollars with a face value of 5,200.

The police found 52 paper notes with USD 100 denomination from his luggage during a security check after his arrival at the airport from Karachi.

The police is carrying further investigation into the matter, according to a press release issued by Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Circle.
