Jaipur: Taking serious note of the railway station construction by Pakistan near Zero Line, the Ministry of Home Affairs has asked Border Security Force (BSF) to prepare video for the ongoing activities at the construction site.

The railway station is few metres away from the international border in Pakistan adjoining Munabao in Barmer district. Already, a small railway station exists at the site, which is being developed further.

Being apprised about the construction work near international border by BSF and Rajasthan Ministry of Home Affairs, the Union government plans to keep hawk eye on the ongoing activities at the site. Notably, the construction at the Indo-Pak border is the violation of International Border Laws.

Already, BSF has inspected the entire vicinity. SP Barmer, Santosh Kumar Chalke informed that huge quantity of construction material is lying at the site. It is easily visible from the border adjoining Indian region. The site of railway station is only at a distance of 15-20 metres from the international border.

It needs to be mentioned that Munabao-Khokhrapar railway services between the two nations resumed on February 2006. The train services were closed at the time of India-Pakistan war in 1965.

More so, frequent ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops to give cover to infiltrating militants across the border has set the alarm bells ringing for the government.
