Atari: An 18-member delegation of agriculture scientists from Pakistan arrived in India on Tuesday via Atari border to participate in a 10-day Agriculture conference organized by the Punjab Agriculture University in Ludhiana.

Talking to reporters, the head of the delegation, Dr Ali Hasan, said “We are on a 20-day stay in India to participate in an agriculture conference between December 28 and January 6.”

The scientists would deliberate upon the problems faced by farmers in different crops.

Dr Hasan added that the soils of both the countries are similar and the farmers also face similar problems like impact of fog on crops.

Pakistani scientists will also meet Indian agriculture experts in Karnal, Jaipur, Hisar and New Delhi.
