Islamabad: In a major setback to the Indian efforts, the Pakistani interior ministry has rejected the list of 50 Most Wanted people handed over by India to Islamabad, a media report said on Tuesday.

After reviewing the list, the ministry has sent it to the foreign ministry to return it to India, an online news agency reported.

In a letter to the Foreign Office, the interior ministry said India should first probe whether the people whose names figured in the  list have been actually living in that country, as it turned out that two them have been living there, the report said quoting sources.

The list will be handed over to the Indian high commissioner in Pakistan within a few days, it added.
