Ranchi: Para-teachers of the Jharkhand continued their indefinite strike even on Saturday Remarkably they are continuing their strike for the last one month despite the assurances given by the Deputy Chief Minister of the state in this regard. A meeting of the co-ordination committee of the association which was scheduled to take place in the Mohrabadi Park on Saturday in this connection was cancelled later on.

Leader of para –teachers’ association in the state, Rajesh Pal Tiwari, said that they would speed up their agitation if the government does not accept their demands.

He further said that para-teachers would gherao the residence of Chief Minister as well the Raj Bhavan if their demands were not met immediately said, Tiwari.”

Agitating teachers have said that they have been getting assurances for the last many years in connection with their demands which however, have not been fulfilled so far.

Tiwari said that para teachers would gherao the entire city as per their plan- Ghera-Dalo, Dera Dalo.
In this connection, Chitranjan Kumar, Spokesperson, Jharkhand Primary Teachers Association said that the future of the students in the state is in dark as their classes have been disturbed for the last month due to ongoing strike. He further said that teachers would intensify their agitation if the government does not consider their demands.

Remarkably, Para teachers of the state have been continuing their strike since August 28 which has crippled the primary as well as the secondary education in the state.
