Bhopal: Turning down the suicide theory of the police, parents of RTI activist Shehla Masood have demanded CBI probe into the case on Wednesday.

Shehla Masood was found dead in her car with a bullet wound in her neck on Tuesday morning, shortly after she left her home to join protest against Anna Hazare arrest.

Police has neither been able to come across any witness nor has any clue as to how assailant performed the act.

In order to get some clue, forensic science team from Sagar did a reconstruction to understand the sequence of events leading to Shehla’s death.

The police department is depending on the report of the forensic team to get any lead. Five teams have been formed to investigate the matter. They will check Shehla’s cell phone, laptop and will question her relatives.

Speaking to media after cremation, Shehla’s father Sultan Masood raised objection to claims made by police that Shehla committed suicide.

“My daughter was murdered in a planned way and few big names are involved in this murder case,” he said.

Interestingly, RTI activist Shehla Masood had threatened to make public names of some “corrupt” officials.

Shehla Murder case has set the political circles abuzz with the opposition demanding CBI investigation into the case.

Leader of the Opposition, Ajay Singh Rahul alleged that police is trying to suppress the matter and calling it is a suicide case.

He has written a letter to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan in this regard.
