New Delhi: The Parliament on Monday paid tributes to victims of Mumbai terror attack with members in both the Houses observing silence as a mark of respect to those who were killed.
Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar and Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari read out the message in the respective Houses.
Meria Kumar said, "The horrific memories of the tragic attack are still etched in our minds and as a tribute to the valiant security personnel who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation, let us pledge that we will together fight to thwart the forces of terrorism."
Ansari said the indomitable spirit of humankind cannot be subdued by such acts of violence.
"I am sure the whole House will join me in reiterating our firm resolves to fight terrorism with determination and re-dedicate ourselves to protect the sovereignty and integrity of our nation," he said.
