Dehradun: Ahead of the Uttarakhand Assembly elections, the dimensions set by the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) national president Nitin Gadkari and Uttarakhand election In-charge Rajnath Singh for the distribution of tickets in the state has made the party workers jittery about the decision.

Earlier this week, in a meeting of BJP workers held at Dehradun, the national party leaders cleared that the tickets for Assembly elections will be distributed to candidates on the basis of their image and performance.

With uncertainty looming largely over the sitting legislators having weak hold in their respective areas and poor performance, the candidates have now pinned hopes on the BJP stalwarts of the province to secure the party representation for them.

As a matter of fact, the BJP is conducting frequent surveys in Uttarakhand ahead of the state by-polls, leading to trouble for sitting legislators. The way in which the leadership was reshuffled in the state with a view to maintain the stronghold in the state, the party legislators are finding themselves in troublesome state with the new declaration.

It is to be noted that Ramesh Pokhriyal was replaced with BC Khanduri as the Chief Minister of the state.
