"This government needs to call off the Foreign Secretary level talks as terror and talks can't go hand in hand. After UFA you saw Gurudaspur and after Lahore you have seen Pathankot, so under these circumstances first thing this government must do is to call off the Foreign Secretary level talks," Congress leader Manish Tewari told reporters.

The Congress leader further said that the nation must be told as to what transpired in those three engagements with Pakistan.
"This country must be told what transpired between the meetings of the two Prime Minister, two NSA in Bangkok. What transpired when the Foreign Minister went to Islamabad and spoke to her Pakistani counterpart Sartaz Aziz," he added.

Making an ominous assessment, Tewari further said that there was a growing perception that the current government was bending over its back when it came to the hostile neighbour.
