Mumbai: Terming the corruption charges leveled against him as baseless, Union Agriculture Minister and NCP Chief Sharad Pawar claimed that such allegations fail to make an impact on him.

Pawar said, “These charges are nothing new for me as I have been facing them for past many years. In the end, all the allegations prove baseless and concocted.” He asserted that over the years, the fake allegations have neither made any impact on him or the people.

The Union Minister maintained that people are united against corruption, and advised all political parties to take a serious cognizance of the issue.

On Jan Lokpal, bill he said, “We will support proposals and recommendations which are brought before us, but it is not possible to ignore the legal and parliamentary norms.”

When asked about the arrest of 1993 Mumbai blasts accused Dawood Ibrahim, Pawar said, “Dawood is not in India. And according to our policies, we cannot interfere in any foreign country without seeking the permission of their authorities.” He claimed that Ministry of Foreign Affairs is keeping a tab on the developments related to Dawood.
