Jhargram (West Midnapore): Blaming the security forces for alleged atrocities against the innocent people, the People's Committee Against Police Atrocities (PCPA) has called for an indefinite agitation from September 15 in Jangalmahal area of West Midnapore, Purulia and Bankura district.

PCPA, chief spokesperson, Jaideo Mahato accused the security forces deployed at the Jangalmahal of torturing the innocent villagers under the guise of search operation. He alleged the security forces of thrashing the villagers for no reason.

 “We want to resume peace dialogue with the government which is unwilling to take any initiating in this regard,” added Mahato.

PCPA has also demanded the withdrawal of forces form the area and decided to block the highway by chopping down trees and digging the roads by September 15.
