Jammu: Demanding immediate relief for flood-hit people at Rajouri district, opposition PDP on Tuesday lashed out the Jammu and Kashmir government for adopting a "casual" approach towards the issue.
Instead of acting swiftly to help people of flood-hit areas and compensate the losses in villages the ruling coalition has adopted a casual approach to the matter, PDP leader Qazi Mohammad Afzal said while addressing party workers at Thanamandi and Rajouri.
People of flood-affected areas have been forced to face several hardships due to the ignorant attitude of the state government, the PDP leader said.
Roads leading to several villages have been washed away in the floods, he said adding, the state government is yet to initiate any major step in this regard.
