"PDP regrets that situation on border is deteriorating due to unabated incidents of ceasefire violation," PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said in a party meeting in Jammu.
The PDP leader said that people of Jammu and Kashmir are bearing maximum brunt of the skirmish on the borders.
He also flayed the state government for its ‘failure’ to provide relief to rains and flood affected people in the state.
Meanwhile, in Srinagar, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti alleged that the state government's policies have made it difficult to achieve a breakthrough in the Shopian deadlock as it has made no attempt to reach out to the people.
"The government has failed to create a sense of justice among the people resulting in complete collapse of system," Mehbooba said in a statement, after visiting Kulgam and Wachi areas of south Kashmir.
She visited the two places to condole the death of two youths killed in the CRPF firing in Shopian last week.
