Formed in 1996 by the students of University of Pennsylvania, Penn Masala has covered songs right from Mohammed Rafi’s ‘Suhani Raat Dhal Chuki’ to ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Badmateez Dil’ in their latest video.

In the video, they have a complete mash-up version that traces the evolution of Bollywood music from the era of Mohammed Rafi to latest musicians such as Pritam and AR Rahman.

Besides, the famous old classics like ‘Mera Joota Hai Japani’, ‘Ina Mina Dika’ and ‘Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeha’, the video also featured latest hit tracks like ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’, ‘Munni Badnam Hui’, ‘Dilliwaali Girlfriend’ and many more.

Penn Masala’s music has been influenced by the Eastern and Western cultures that represent the group’s membership.

Ranging 65 years of Bollywood's journey, suitable costumes and lighting is also used to represent the different eras in the video.

According to reports, Penn Masala has released nine albums till date and performs at numerous universities and events around the globe. It also has a popular Youtube channel for fans.
