New Delhi: The Janata Dal (United) seems to have succeeded in spreading a strong message among the people of Bihar residing in Delhi-NCR region that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is going to organize Adhikar rally today at Ram Lila Ground to get rid of economic backwardness of state. Senior leaders including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and party president Sharad Yadav will address the mega rally.

For the first time, people across the parties are looking forward to take part in the Adhikar rally. They are of view that the Bihar Chief Minister raised a genuine issue regarding the upliftment of state.

All the ministers in the Nitish Kumar Cabinet, JD (U) MPs, MLAs, MLCs and senior leaders had been launching massive campaigns in the national capital for the past few days to garner support for Adhikar rally. A number of people have also come from Bihar to participate in the rally.

Senior JD (U) leaders including party MPs Monazir Hasan, Sabir Ali, Ali Anwar, Social Welfare Minister Parveen Amanullah held several rounds of meeting in national capital. Amanullah addressed a number of meetings at Azadpur, Delhi Sadar and Uttam Nagar in the national capital and urged the people to gather at Ram Lila Ground on March 17.

Talking to Jagran Post, Amanullah said, “Bihar is on the path of development. To keep its momentum, the state needs special status.” Expressing the similar view, JD (U) MP Sabir Ali said, “Bihar needs special status for the overall development in the state.”

JD (U) leader Shahnawaz Ahmed said that Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government has made a sea change in the state on development plank. Ahmed sought special status to Bihar for generating employment opportunities in the state.
