Haldia: It can be a great setback for Mamata Banerjee that anti incumbency sentiments against her is surfacing before her entry into the Writers Building.

In first instance it may sound bizarre but the conflicting scene of Bengal appears clearly. The slogan of change got prominence to get rid of parallel power of CPM Mastan (Mafias), but they now turned coat to Trinamool making a section of people, who advocated change of wind in Bengal, rethink their decision to vote for Mamta.

The resentment against the 34-year regime of CPM has been gaining momentum for decades. The entire Bengal is tired of the slogan of leftist trade union Manyi Na Manabo Na, Dite Hobe Dite Hobe meaning accept or not but you have to pay.

Mamata emerged as a main force against the Left, but her political attitude seems to be changing. Following this, the Leftist mafias are switching their side to Didi.

In a changed environment, the trade union wing of Trinamool’s INTTCUC has become more effective. 30,000 industry laborers of Haldia have ditched CITU, a trade wing of CPM, and joined the INTTCUC.

The flip side is that some bad elements have become prominent in the Trinamool. People’s disenchantment with Trinamool Congress has increased and reached to the party president. Mamata directed all leaders and trade unions to keep vigil on these elements.
