Authorities are planning to introduce identity cards for parents during the time of nursery admission. Besides that various private schools in the city are also mulling to deploy home guards and civil defence personnel to increase the security of the schools.

The school administration said that the identity cards will be issued only to three people--mother, father and a guardian.

“We will introduce identity cards for guardians also. Besides that we will also ask for the birth certificate of the child and identity card of the person who will come to the school to pick the form for nursery admission. We have also decided to give entry only to those parents who have bona fide identity-cards,” said Dr Satveer Sharma, Principal Vidhya Bal Senior Secondary School.

“The school authorities will have a copy of the identity-cards issued to guardians and the visitor would be required to carry their identity-card for authentication while entering the school premises.

Besides we are also requesting the government to deploy home guards and civil defence personnel at schools to ensure the saftey of students,” added Dr Sharma.
