Chandigarh: After Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar has been dragged into a controversy. Objections have been raised over Sachin being depicted as Lord Hanuman by his fans in Allahabad. A petition has been filed against Tendulkar in a district court in Chandigarh.

The petitioner argues that the pictorial representation of Sachin in the form of lord Hanuman has hurt religious sentiments. Hearing the petition the court has asked the petitioner to appear before it on May 8 along with the evidence. The petition has been filed by advocate Arvind Thakur and Shivmurti Yadav.

Earlier, Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni had also been dragged into a controversy by a business magazine. Under the title ‘God of Big Deals’, Dhoni had been depicted as lord Vishnu on the front page of the magazine holding different products of the brands he endorses. One of the products he held in his hand was a shoe.

This depiction of lord Vishnu had also irked many Hindu organizations who staged protest at Bohri Chowk in Tarn Taran and demanded an FIR to be lodged against Dhoni and the magazine.
