The film which was released on 19th December has received tremendous response  from the audiences, but has been hovered with controversy right from the release of its first poster, which depicted Aamir Khan nude hiding his modesty with a transistor.

The buzz in the B-Town goes rounds that, Prashant Patel, Secretary of Hindu Legal Cell has lodged complaint against director Rajkumar Hirani, lead actor Aamir Khan, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Sidharth Roy Kapur.

Prashant claims that the film provoked  religious sentiments of Hindus and that lord Shiva has been shown portrayed in wrong manner. The dialogue 'Jo dar gaya, wo mandit gaya' has been mentioned in the FIR.

The film also received criticism on social media and Twitter has flooded with #WeBoycottpk comments. Actress Juhi Chawla has also expressed her disliking regarding certain scenes in the movie.

“I have some issues with PK .. I agree with a lot of things but disagree with THATS a good film. One that stirs thought and discussion,” she tweeted.

The film has received much appreciation from audiences and collected Rs 95 crore by the opening weekend, making it the highest grosser for a non-holiday release this year.
