New Delhi: Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Saturday said that the plant nurseries across the country must be registered so that the government could work in developing the sector.

“Amidst the challenges of environment, there is a great need to boost the plant nurseries and regulate the sector,” Pawar said while addressing ‘Nursery and Landscape Expo 2011’ organised by Indian Nursery Association in Okhala on Saturday.

The government will leave no stone unturned to boost the sector and provide full assistance for the plant exhibitions. Moreover, the people connected to the sector will also be provided with financial assistance, he added.

While congratulating the members of Indian Nursery Association and Delhi Nursery and Landscape Association, the Minister said that the move was indeed incredible. He honoured the winners for outstanding expo.
