Allahabad: A petition has been filed in the Allahabad High Court against Megastar Amitabh Bachchan for allegedly making objectionable comment about Islam’s holy book ‘Quran’ during popular game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.

The petition has been filed by a Jhansi resident Muddasir Ulla Khan. The court will hear the case on January 23.

In the petition, Khan said that during ‘Fastest Finger First’ round of KBC, Amitabh Bachchan made reference to the author of holy book ‘Quran’ that hurts the religious sentiments of the particular society.

The petitioner earlier filed the case which was dismissed by Chief Judicial Magistrate on 21st May last year. Later, he filed a revised petition which was again quashed by a Session Judge on 26th October 2012.

The petitioner challenged the session court’s verdict in Allahabad High court. Sony Television Manager and Amitabh Bachchan have been made parties in the case.
