The two-day summit has been organized by a private institute of physiotherapy which has centres in Vadodara and Ahmedabad. The institute had invited Modi for the summit and in response the PM sent his message to the organizers.

Prime Minister in his message also said that the conference will also provide a platform for meaningful discussion on physiotherapy among experts.

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandi Patel said, "As an important stream of science, physiotherapy needs illuminative and qualitative development to deal with the delicate issues of ailment."
    
"New, innovative and instant techniques need to be offered to patients by the community of physiotherapists," she added.
    
About 1,000 delegates from various parts of the country and some from abroad are taking part in the summit.
