It is worth mentioning that several functions are being organised across the country to celebrate the 151st birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on Monday.

Swami Vivekananda founded the Ramakrishna Math and the Ramakrishna Mission. He is known for his inspiring speech at the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago in 1893. The speech began, "Sisters and brothers of America ," and it was in this discourse where he introduced Hinduism .

Swami Vivekananda's birthday is celebrated as National Youth Day in India.
