Singh has decided to address the press conference at a time when his government is under severe criticism on alleged policy paralysis and other issues.

The press conference, just months ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, will be the third full-fledged press conference in 10 years that he has been the Prime Minister.

The UPA government has been facing criticism on account of "policy paralysis", corruption and price rise and some other issues.

Congress has suffered a setback after the drubbing in recent Assembly elections. Singh is expected to field questions on all these issues at the press meet.

Meanwhile, PMO rubbished reports that Singh would be stepping down before the general elections.

A media report has claimed that he may be considering quitting before the polls.
