Raising the issue in the Zero Hour, he said the tragedy in Chennai was 'partly natural, partly man-made' and some 'glaring issues' came to fore including the activeness of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

Ramadoss wanted the Prime Minister to review the functioning of NDMA, while insisting that what was witnessed in Chennai was that there was 'absolutely no coordination' between NDMA, army, state government and central government.

This was strongly protested by AIADMK members who immediately came to the aisle and Speaker Sumitra Mahajan assured them that she would see if there are any allegations made by the PMK member.

AIADMK member PR Sundaram, who was given the opportunity to speak after Ramadoss, spoke of the excellent work done by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in tackling the situation on a war footing.
