New Delhi: The Prime Minister Office (PMO) has accepted the Shunglu Committee report on alleged irregularities in the Commonwealth Games-2010, which can create problems for the Delhi government.

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has already rejected the findings of the report but the PMO has referred it to the Union Home Ministry for further action.

In the Shunglu Committee report, the PMO has asked the Union Home Ministry to improve the accountability and action on part of state government and Lt Governor Tejinder Khanna.

According to sources, Delhi government is likely to face tough time in the coming days because the Prime Minister has declined to reject the Shunglu Committee report.

Therefore, the state government will not be able to avoid complaints related to the alleged irregularities in the development projects.

A lot will also depend on the report prepared by Union Home Ministry.

The sources in the Congress Party say that for the time being the Delhi government may face tough time but it is difficult to predict the outcome.

The Home Ministry will have to submit the Action Taken Report (ATR) on the findings of the panel's report in three months and by then the issue may settle down, according to sources.
