New Delhi: Indian cricket fraternity was taken aback when the Delhi Police made sensational revelation about IPL players involved in spot-fixing on wee hours of Thursday morning. It has been revealed that one of the prime accused S Sreesanth was not taken into custody from his friend’s house but was actually caught with a girl inside hotel room.

The sources say that bookies used to supply call girls to the players during Indian Premier League to spot-fix the games. Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila are also under the scanner. The suspected players were detained by Delhi Police at around 2.30 AM on Thursday. Surfacing of the spot fixing scandal has dealt a serious blow to the brand IPL.

Matches fixed at Nashik hotel

Intelligence reports suggest that several Delhi-based bookies had held a meeting with an underworld don’s relative in a hotel in Nashik to fix the IPL matches. Some top Mumbai-based bookies had also attended the meeting.

Sources revealed that a top Nashik-based bookie, JK Nashik, who presided over the Nashik meeting is the relative of a Mumbai underworld don’s brother.

A top IB source told that the don himself is not interested in match fixing anymore, so his brother deals with the business.
