Kathmandu: Launching a crackdown on prostitution, Nepal police on Tuesday raided half a dozen hotels and arrested 24 people.
    
The action was taken after receiving complaints from local people that illegal sexual activities were being carried out in these places.
    
Those arrested include six hotel managers and 18 others who were involved in the illicit activities, according to Metropolitan Police Circle, Kathmandu.
    
They were arrested from the hotels situated in Bagbhazaar area of Kathmandu.
