Amritsar: A two-day long conference of Police Commissioners will begin in Amritsar on Thursday and is expected to see attendance by top cops from across the country.

The conference to be held from December 21 to 22 will be hosted by Punjab police in coordination with the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D).

Out of 47 Commissionerates in the country, Police Commissioners from 21 Commissionerates and representatives from 7 Commissionerates will be attending the two-day conference.

Delegates representing nine states which do not have Commissionerate system will also be attending the conference to understand the system and make appropriate proposals in their respective states.

Eminent delegates expected to attend the conference, include Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar, Mumbai police commissioner Satyapal Singh, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police
Anurag Sharma, Director General of Police (BPR&D) K N Sharma, and DGP (Andhra Pradesh) V Dinesh Reddy among others.
