Sitamarhi: Police on Sunday recovered four live bombs from near a canal between Asogi and Shivnagar villages in Bihar's Sitamarhi district, a police officer said.

During investigation of the murder of a businessman Dhiraj Jaiswal alias Bablu and loot of goods and valuables worth Rs 25 lakhs by the robbers two days ago, the policemen recovered bombs which were lying among some looted goods, Bargania police station in-charge Amrendra Jha said.

The bombs have been defused, he said.

An investigation was underway, Jha said.

Armed robbers had shot dead Jaiswal and looted goods and valuables worth about Rs 25 lakh from his house in the market area on Friday night.
