Chandigarh: Gearing up for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Punjab, all political parties have declared their electoral programmes which are scheduled to begin from November. From rallies to public meetings, the parties seem to leave no stone unturned for marking victory in the 2012 elections.

Political parties like the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Congress, People’s Party of PunjaB, Akali Dal are all set field their candidates in Punjab constituencies.

With a view to apprise people about the achievements made by the ruling SAD government, the Chief Minister of the state, Prakash Singh Badal along with Sukhbir Singh Badal will take out rallies and hold public meetings.

To counter the move, the Congress as an undercut rival will start its ‘Save Punjab’ rally from November. The rally will be flagged from Malwa and will cover several districts in the state within a month.

Besides, the third major party, People’s Party of Punjab has declared to begin ‘Izzat Sambhal Yatra’, a campaign to inform people about the policies of the opposition parties.
