Kolkata: The West Bengal Youth Congress has given signals to target the Trinamool Congress government over the issue of political violence.

The Congress youth wing members led by WBYC president and Malda North MP Mausam Noor on Friday will take procession against the political violence.

Noor said, “The attack on the Congress workers has mounted during the TMC regime as compared to the previous Left Front government.”

Previously, similar charges had been leveled on the TMC government by the CPI (M) members.

According to Congress leaders, party members had been attacked on the behest of TMC. Meanwhile, the TMC has also blamed the Congress for provoking violence in the state.

TMC general secretary Mukul Roy blamed the Congress for alleged attack on a party worker at Malda. Roy said, “I will apprise the WB Pradesh Congress Committee president Pradip Bhattacharya about the issue.”
