"The politics of the hatred is a dangerous campaign for the country. We urge the people to reject the communal and divisive forces and strengthen the secular and progressive forces in order to strengthen the unity and integrity of the nation and the state,” Azad said while starting the campaign for Lok Sabha polls from Sunderbani in Rajouri district on Friday.
Addressing a public rally, he said that the country has witnessed a tremendous development in all spheres of life under the UPA regime in the past 10 years.
"The negative campaign against the UPA is only to divert the attention of people from the achievements of government in every sphere of life including road network, hospitals, education and other pro-poor schemes, which have benefited the cross sections of the society", Azad said.
He said that the foundation of this country has been laid on secular ideals, which are strength of our nation.

“We should not allow weakening this at any cost and urged the people to reject such kind of forces who are posing threat to the secular fabric of the nation,” he added.
Azad also referred to the numerous achievements of the coalition government in the state and appealed the people to vote in favour of coalition candidates in the state.

Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee president Saifuddin Soz, senior National Conference leaders Ajay Sadotra, Davinder Singh Rana and Congress candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha Constituency Madan Lal Sharma were also present on the occasion.
