Jalandhar: Settling political scores over arch rivals Bahujan Samaj Party and Samajawadi Party, BJP president Nitin Gadkari said that the people of Uttar Pradesh must give the party an opportunity to change the face of the state.

While addressing a party rally here on Saturday, Gadkari pulled up the BSP and SP for the poor records of their rulings in UP and urged people to vote for the BJP for changing the scenario of the state.

The party president also expressed his serious concerns over the inflation and corruption. Coming down heavily on the UPA government, he said that the poor policies of the Centre have adversely affected the economy and common man is bearing the brunt.

Launching a scathing attack on Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi, he said “How can he (Gandhi) talk about corruption at the time when the string of corruption has been unearthed during the regime of Congress-led government at the Centre.”

“The people of the country are becoming the victim of corruption every day. Despite series of scams and scandals being exposed, the UPA government is dillydallying in bringing a strong Lokpal Bill.” Gadkari added.

He lauded Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal for development and good work in the state.
