Rohtak: Students of Chhotu Ram Polytechnic Institute here on Thursday held a demonstration blocking movement of vehicular traffic on national highway No 10 for around two hours in protest against non-declaration of examination’s results of some of the students by the institute management.

The students gathered on the Institute campus in the morning and squatted on the highway and shouted slogans against the institute management.

The police went to the spot and tried to persuade the protesters to lift the blockade but they did not pacify.

The protesters alleged that the institute management was deliberately not declaring the exam result of some of the students who got their roll numbers for the examination after staging an agitation against the management some time ago.

"Now, results of all the students except them have been declared and they are getting admission in the next semester but the agitating students cannot get admission till then their results are declared", said a student.

Later, Rohtak SDM Pankaj Yadav and DSP (Headquarters) Sumit Kumar reached the spot and persuaded the protesters to lift the blockade.
