London: Pop star Jessie J fell off a platform at Wembley Stadium tearing a major ligament in her foot. She was rehearsing for her upcoming Summertime Ball gig.

The 23-year-old singer, who was putting the finishing touches to her routine for the performance at the legendary London venue, was rushed to the hospital after she slipped and fell, a website reported.

However, the injured star was quick to reassure her fans, whom she calls 'Heartbeats', about her performance.

"I have ripped a main ligament in my foot and have been put on crutches and told to rest. I'm in a lot of pain," wrote Jessie on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

"Don't get it twisted! I'm gonna be singing at STB even if I have to crawl, be carried or be wheeled onto stage! My foot is 3 times its normal size but my heartbeats rule and I will not let you down! (sic),” she wrote.

Other stars at the Summertime Ball include Nicole Scherzinger, JLS, Jennifer Lopez and Cee Lo Green, among others.
