On Thursday, doctors at KIMS performed dialysis on Narayana, who was later put on ventilator support.

Narayana, who has over 750 films to his credit, started his career as a writer. Some of his best films include 'Indra', 'Sontam', 'Dookudu' and 'Shivamani'.He had penned dialogues for films such as "Alexander" and had also directed 'Bhajantrilu' and 'Koduku'. He is survived by his wife, daughter and son.
