Kolkata: Several posters by Maoists in different parts of Kolkata have set alarm bells ringing in the state capital. The posters spread the message of uniting people against the policies of the state government. In addition, the Maoists have also demanded the removal of CoBRA forces from the Jangal Mahal area.

According to police sources, the posters were found outside Presidency College, Indian Coffee House in College Street and outside Vidyasagar College. However, majority of the posters were found at the Dharam Talla Metro Station.

When asked about the posters, Public Relations Officer and Deputy General Manager Pratyush Ghosh said that internal security of 23 metro stations was under him and he was not concerned about the outer walls of the station.

“I have no information on this matter. The police authorities are responsible for the security of outer walls,” said Ghosh.

Meanwhile, Joint Commissioner (Headquarters) Jawed Shamim said the police have taken all the posters under their custody. “Police has started the hunt of people responsible for the act,” he said.
