Khosa submitted his advocacy licence and contacted the anti-terrorism court hearing the case for copies of previous proceedings.

The formal trial of former president Pervez Musharraf on the charge of involvement in the 2007 assassination of Bhutto began on August 27.

One witness, police constable Kashif Bashir, recorded his statement in the anti-terrorism court of Judge Chaudhry Habib-ur-Rehman.

The court indicted Musharraf on August 21 on three charges, including criminal conspiracy and abetting the murder of former premier Bhutto, who was assassinated by a suicide attacker after addressing an election rally in Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007.

Musharraf's regime had blamed the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan for the attack. Musharraf claimed he had warned Bhutto of the dangers she faced.
