Mumbai: Bollywood actress Preity Zinta recently played a good Samaritan while she was on her way to catch a flight to Punjab. Apparently, Zinta spotted a man being struck down by an ambulance in a hit-and-run case.

Preity took to micro blogging site Twitter to express her shock over the incident. She wrote: “On the way to the airport to take a flight to Punjab when I saw a man crossing the highway and a White Ambulance hit him and RUN. This is insane. (sic)”

Preity mentioned in her tweets she gave a chase to the driver, noted down the number of ambulance when others helped the injured.

She tweeted: '@realpreityzinta Yes he was wrong 2cross like that but an Ambulance hitting & Running is Shocking... MH - 04- FP - 1634. I tried 2follow them but they Ran. (sic)"

She even reported about the incident to the cops.

"Called the cops and informed them. However, the victim was taken to the hospital as I was busy chasing the ambulance to note down the registration number of the vehicle," she wrote on Twitter.
