Shimla: With 3 more days to go for Himachal polls, all the political parties have tightened their shoes for the assembly race as the star campaigners threw their weight in the poll. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal seems more confident of returning to power with huge majority.

BJP Yuva Morcha president and Dhumal’s son Anuraag Thakur is focusing on his own constituency Hamirpur to send more number of MLAs to state assembly. BJP is playing ‘’aam aadmi’’ plank and alleged corruption of Congress leaders.

The political pundit says that recent allegations against former CM Virbhadra Singh may prove beneficial to Dhumal in this poll. Dhumal said that the BJP will return to power. He also threw light on the development work carried out under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan and MNREGS in the state.

BJP has demanded that the poll campaigning date be extended till November 3. The BJP has accused Air Traffic Control (ATC) of being partial towards them citing that the helicopters of its star campaigners are being delayed to fly.

In the 68-member House, the BJP won 42 seats in the 2007 assembly poll, while this time, Himachal Pradesh goes to poll on November in a single phase. The results will be declared on December 20.
