Nagpur: President Pratibha Patil arrived here on Saturday a four-day visit to Vidarbha and would be attending a series of programmes in Amravati.
   
Governor K Sankaranarayanan, District Gaurdian Minister Shivajirao Moghe, local MP and Congress General Secretary Vilas Muttemwar among others received her at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport here.
   
Accompanied by Shankanarayanan and Moghe, Patil later flew to Amravati, her home district, where she will stay till December 13 before returning to the city on her way back to Delhi.
   
Patil will inaugurate the renovated railway station of Amravati and flag off a new bi-weekly Amravati-Tirupati Express train this evening.
   
The President will also be attending a felicitation of former Kerala Governor R S Gavai and release a postal stamp in the honour of renowned Hindi poet Pradeep.
