New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday greeted the nation on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi, a Hindu festival celebrated across the country.

In a message issued by his office here, the prime minister said: "The festival symbolises the cultural unity of the country, bringing people of all walks of life together."

"May this festival of Ganesh Chaturthi remove all obstacles, and bring all-round development, harmony and prosperity to all," he added. The festival will be celebrated across the nation from Wednesday.
