London: Prince Harry, an Apache helicopter pilot, will return to Afghanistan for a second time to take on the Taliban, after completing months of "tough" training in the US.

Harry, third in the line of succession to the British throne, let slip his excitement at a military awards gala, where he joined brother Wills and sister-in-law Kate.

"I can't wait to get out there," the Sun newspaper quoted the 27-year-old royal as telling the guests at the gala.

Harry, who served as an air controller in the war zone four years ago, has completed his Apache helicopter pilot training in the US.

He said it was "tough" but added: "I'm looking forward to putting it into practice."
