“Initially the film had a different working title, but eventually Shilpa and her crew zeroed in on Dishkiyaoon. The creative team thought that it is an apt name, given the film’s script.

But a few days before Shilpa thought of making it the film’s official title, she learnt that the name was already registered by writer/filmmaker Pritish Nandy. She then met him and requested him to let her use the title,” a source said.

Fortunately for her, Nandy had no qualms about giving the title. When contacted, Shilpa confirmed the news.
“It was quite sweet of Pritish to part with the title; I shall always be grateful to him for this gentlemanly act. I even gifted him a bottle of his favourite wine and a bouquet of flowers for being so helpful,” the same source added.
