"My family is humiliated, there are things that are said about my husband. The more they humiliate us, the stronger we become. I am sad by the attacks, but I have learnt from Indira Gandhi that the truth becomes courage," Priyanka said on Tuesday while campaigning in Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh for her mother, who is the sitting MP from here and is eyeing a fourth term.

“I tell my children that one day, truth will prevail,” she added.

Priyanka also took a dig at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, asking the public whether they want a country where all the regions exist together peacefully or a nation where different religions and communities are made to fight against each other.

Priyanka also requested the public to not vote for her mother but for the nation in order to secure the future of their children.
